Sublime: Greatest Hits

15 03 2010

“Smoke two joints in the morning, I smoke two joints at night/ I smoke two joints in time of peace and two in time of war/ I smoke two joints just to smoke two joints/ Then I smoke two more!” – ‘ Smoke Two Joints ‘ by Sublime

I was never a huge Sublime fan – but I always knew a song or two by them. I decided to post a short review of their Greatest Hits album for fans similar to me.. who have only heard a song or two. Or for other Sublime fans who may have missed their Greatest Hits record. The album features songs from Sublime’s three studio albums, as well as their 1997 release ‘Second-hand Smoke’, which came out a year after lead singer Bradley Nowell’s death. The Greatest Hits was released in 1999, three years after Nowell died from a heroin overdose.

I could literally just post the track listing and be happy with this write-up, it’s worth checking out if you haven’t heard too much Sublime in the past. Read the rest of this entry »
