KiD CuDi: “Kid Cudi Demo Tape”

2 07 2010

Hey everyone.

So Kid Cudi has a new album coming out soon called “Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager”. There are a few songs out/confirmed from the album, REVOFEV (Revolution of Evolution), Mr. Rager, Erase Me (ft. Kanye West) and I Do My Thing (ft. Snoop Dogg). I actually haven’t heard any of the songs yet haha but I’m excited for the album.

So I thought I’d do a bit of a throwback Kid Cudi post today.

I’m putting up Cudi’s demo tape from even before his Mixtape (A Kid Named Cudi) surfaced. The demo has a few recognizable songs on it: “Solo Dolo“, “Sky Might Fall” and “In My Zone (CuDi Zone)” from his debut album Man on the Moon. The Demo tape also has the song “High (I Be)” which I’ve seen on Youtube before.. for others that may have heard it. It’s a good song to blaze to!

As for the other tracks on the demo tape, I suggest checking out “Never Come Down” it has a sick beat.. “Follow Me” is a good song as well and I like “I Hear Them Calling“. I included the download link below so check out the Demo if you haven’t heard it before and let me know what you think.. and look out for the new Kid Cudi album!

KiD CuDi: Man on the Moon (The End of Day)

1 12 2009

Okay so I might as well continue with Kid Cudi’s second album: Man on the Moon. Cudi’s mixtape reached Kanye West, who signed Cudi to his GOOD Music label. If anyone has heard Kanye West’s 808s and Heartbreak album, Cudi helped write a couple songs and was featured on “Welcome to Heartbreak”.

Just so everyone knows, I’m still new to writing blogs and reviews and such.. so hopefully you will see a progression in my reviews over time. Any suggestions for future reviews is openly welcome. Just hit me up on the comments section. Also, I’ve mentioned in one of my earlier posts that there will be no order to the way I review albums. I just recently saw Cudi live in Toronto and thought he’d be cool to start with, considering I loved his performance and am a big fan. Next reviews could range anywhere from Jay-Z to NoFX to Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Streetlight Manifesto. All depends on the high I’m feeling and what music I’m listening to when I decide to write haha. Read the rest of this entry »

KiD CuDi: A Kid Named Cudi (Mixtape)

Hey guys.

So this is the first album review I’ve ever written, this is more or less just my opinion of the album and what I perceive as the message/meaning of what’s being said. I’m not claiming that any of what I have to say is true or not.. just what I believe. My goal of these posts and reviews is to let you guys know what I’m currently listening to and hopefully get you interested as well if you haven’t heard some of these albums or musicians. If you have any comments or related music that you’d like to leave me.. please do reply to this blog and let me know.

Okay, so there will not be any order to the musicians I review. I’m simply going to post based on what I’m listening to when I decide I feel like writing down my opinions. I was at the Kid Cudi show at the Kool Haus (a separate set after his performance with Lady Gaga) in Toronto last weekend – he’s one of my favourite up and coming rappers and therefore I’m gonna do my first few posts about Cudder aka Kid Cudi. First I’ma take you through his mixtape that was released in July 2008 called “A Kid Named Cudi”. Read the rest of this entry »
