Okay, a little bit of a different musical direction here. Alexisonfire is a sick band, you should check out any of their records if you’ve never heard of them before. They’re from St. Cahtherines (which is in Ontario, Canada).. just up the highway from where I’m going to school. I’ve seen these guys twice live, they rock. I got to meet Dallas Green (also from the band City and Colour) and George – the two main vocals, at the Warped tour this past summer. Both are cool guys.. they were happy that got to see some Canadians as well – because we were in the Minnesota, USA.
Anyways, they’re called a “post-hardcore” (/post-punk-ish) type band and Old Crows/Young Cardinals is their fourth studio album and was released earlier this year. I just want to say before I continue – I don’t at all consider myself an expert on different music genres or bands or anything of that sort. I only write these posts to pass along some new music and to briefly write about why the shit I’m listening to is worth it to check out – not to give you a “Rolling Stones-esque” professional review haha.
